Dutch Q3 GDP Growth Slightly Above Forecasts
The Dutch economy grew by 0.4 percent on quarter in the three months to September 2019, the same pace as in the previous period and slightly above market expectations of 0.3 percent, a preliminary estimate showed. Growth was mainly driven by public spending, inventory changes and household consumption, while fixed investment contracted and net external demand contributed negatively to the GDP. Year-on-year, the economy grew by 1.9 percent, accelerating from 1.8 percent in the previous period and beating market expectations of 1.7 percent.
